Yangzhou rewards slow travel, and this hotel is built for exactly that. The Yihe Yinyi Renfengli Hotel (颐和隐逸仁丰里酒店 — listed on the platform as the Xiaoqinhuai Hotel) is a brand-new, 48-room hideaway at 89 Renfengli, Wenchang Middle Road, deep in the old city’s fishbone lanes of blue brick and grey tile. It occupies Xinyuan, the former private garden of late-Qing salt merchant Zhou Yifu — a heritage building that later served as a street office — reworked with carved-red-lacquer and mother-of-pearl inlay details, courtyard calm, and none of the big-hotel bustle. Dongguan Street’s food stalls and Pishi Street’s indie shops are walkable from the door, and Geyuan Garden is nearby.

Breakfast deserves its own line: the hotel’s Delin Xiaoguan tea house descends from the Pande Lin tea house, serving Yangzhou morning tea since 1953 — three generations of hand-made, alkaline-fermented dough work, a technique inscribed as intangible cultural heritage in 2025. In Yangzhou, morning tea is the main event, and here it comes with the room.

⚠️ The surcharge calendar is the thing to plan around. Through Mar 14, 2027 almost everything is base price — only Jan 1–2 and Feb 6–10 add ¥300/night. From Mar 15 to May 31, 2027 (peak “misty March” season), every night adds ¥200 (Sun–Fri) or ¥300 (Sat), with Qingming (Apr 2–4) and Labor Day (Apr 30–May 4) at +¥600/night. Book by 21:00 on arrival day; unbooked vouchers refund anytime, confirmed bookings generally don’t. One structural catch on the ¥898 bundle: it can be converted to 2 rooms × 1 night, but then it covers room + breakfast only — the Heyuan tickets, tour and boat ride drop out.

Packages

Good to know: check-in 15:00, check-out 12:00, ID required for every guest. The famous “Yangzhou three knives” craftsmen (foot care, in the local tradition) work in-house; guests who found the hotel via its livestream channel get a ¥38 voucher toward a session — ask at the desk if that was you. Xialv Money-Saver Card holders save an extra ¥30.

What guests say

Honest note: this is a brand-new hotel and a fresh listing — its merchant review pool on the booking platform is still empty, and we found no verifiable guest reviews for this specific property on Ctrip or other major platforms yet. What’s verifiable instead: a heritage salt-merchant garden setting in the Renfengli lanes, a morning-tea house with a documented lineage back to 1953, Heyuan Garden tickets with a guided tour and a private-pier boat ride bundled into the 2-night tier, and refundable-anytime terms on unbooked vouchers through May 2027 — a low-risk way to lock in a Yangzhou weekend. If you go, we’d love to hear how it was.
