Some hotels sell a room; this one sells square meters and lake air. The Wolonghu Yaquandao Yuehu Resort Hotel (卧龙湖雅泉道悦湖度假酒店, formerly the Wolong Lake Wyndham Grand) stands inside the 7,000-mu Wolong Lake scenic area in Nanjing’s Lishui district — Mediterranean-style architecture designed by Wilson Associates (the firm behind the Venetian Macao, which makes this their sister property and their first mainland China hotel), an 8-meter crystal cherry-blossom chandelier in the lobby, and a limited-edition Bösendorfer piano from Vienna. The rooms are the headline: a 72㎡ king with a 2 m × 2 m bed or a 70㎡ twin with two 1.5 m beds, dry/wet separated bathrooms, oversized tubs and double sinks — space a family can actually spread out in.
Days fill easily without leaving the resort: the included water-play pass for two covers an indoor surfing experience, the indoor pool, an indoor hot-spring fish-therapy and sauna area, a flower-sea photo zone, NPC battle activities, KTV and board-game rooms; there’s also a gym, a 1,300㎡ lakeside infinity pool outdoors, and lakeside cycling for two (bikes are first-come, first-served). Around the lake town, guests add horse riding and, in spring, bamboo-shoot digging — one review below describes the hotel cooking your own dug shoots for the table, free of charge.
⚠️ Surcharge dates are narrow and specific: normal weekends cost nothing extra all the way through March 2027. Only two windows add a fee — Dec 31, 2026 – Jan 1, 2027 (+¥200/room/night) and Feb 5–10, 2027 (+¥300/room/night), and even then, 2 rooms per night are exempted from the surcharge (first-come). You can book as late as 17:00 on arrival day, and unbooked vouchers refund anytime — but confirmed bookings are generally non-refundable, so lock dates once you’re sure. Check-in 15:00, checkout 12:00; bring ID for every guest (household register for children).

Good to know: the hotel is at 1 Wolonghu Avenue, Lishui — about 5 minutes off the expressway, close to Lukou Airport and Nanjing South Station. By transit, take Metro Line S7 to Wolonghu station, then the Wolong Lake shuttle bus; Lishui railway station is about 11 km away. Xialv Money-Saver Card holders save an extra ¥30.
What guests say
24 historical merchant reviews on the booking platform. Representative guest reviews (translated from Chinese):
“A wonderful place to unwind. There’s horse riding and bamboo-shoot digging — the hotel even cooks the shoots you dig and serves them at your table, free, and they’re delicious. From lobby to rooms the decor is elegant and grand, and the rooms are complete, comfortable, spacious and bright. Really worth staying.” — 知*** · stayed Apr 2026
“Surrounded by mountains and water, beautiful scenery, oxygen-rich air. The hotel room is truly big and comfortable. We took our kid bamboo-shoot digging and horse riding — such a happy trip.” — 138****1375 · stayed Apr 2026
“The setting is beautiful, right on Wolong Lake with open views and fresh air — a morning walk by the lake is pure therapy. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable bedding; I slept wonderfully. The front desk was warm and attentive and even upgraded our room. Breakfast was rich, Chinese and Western. One small drama: the platform hadn’t closed bookings when the hotel was actually full, but instead of cancelling us they upgraded us — very touching. I’ll choose it again next time I’m in Nanjing.” — 189****7079 · stayed Jul 2025
