Yihe Jiezi Garden Hotel is a garden hotel with a story: it restores the Jiezi Garden, the private garden built 300 years ago in Nanjing by Li Yu — the Ming–Qing literati behind the classic painting manual The Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting and the essay collection Idle Thoughts. The hotel sits inside the Laomendong scenic area, about 1 km on foot from Confucius Temple and about 620 m from Wudingmen metro station. Outside the gate is the busy old street, full of snacks and shops; inside is a quiet Jiangnan garden of pavilions, ponds and winding stone paths. The garden itself is open to the public by day, but in the early morning and evening it belongs to guests alone — and the hotel has its own passage into it.

Rooms are 30–41 m² Yayun rooms (a 2 × 1.8 m king bed, or two 2 × 1.2 m twins) or a 50 m² north-courtyard family room with a 2 × 2 m bed plus a 1 m sofa bed. Every package includes breakfast, welcome fruit, one free minibar use, two tickets to the Jiezi Garden culture exhibition hall and free parking.

“The hotel is good, and the location is convenient — right inside the scenic area, and pleasant at night too.” — August 2025

“A great hotel, highly recommended. Right across from the front desk a little passage leads to a café run by a couple with lovely parrots, and the ice cream is good. Eating and staying here is easy, and a stroll out takes you to Deyunshe, the Mahua theatre, the city wall, Zhonghua Gate and lots of good food.” — July 2025

“Recommended for families — a very good experience.” — August 2025
